Research and Information System for Developing Countries(RIS)

Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), a New Delhi based autonomous think-tank under the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, is an organization that specializes in policy research on international economic issues and development cooperation. RIS is envisioned as a forum for fostering effective policy dialogue and capacity-building among developing countries on international economic issues. The focus of the work programme of RIS is to promote South- South Cooperation and assist developing countries in multilateral negotiations in various forums. RIS is engaged in the Track II process of several regional initiatives. RIS is providing analytical support to the Government of India in the negotiations for concluding comprehensive economic cooperation agreements with partner countries. The Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA)

The Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) is an international organization established by a formal agreement among 16 heads of government at the 3rd East Asia Summit in Singapore on 21 November 2007. ERIA works closely with the ASEAN Secretariat, researchers and research institutes from East Asia to provide intellectual and analytical research and policy recommendations. Another key ERIA objective is capacity building aimed at strengthening policy research capacities in less developed countries.

The Institute of Developing Economies (IDE)

The Institute of Developing Economies (IDE) was founded in 1960, as a corporation with special status under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (now the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry), to undertake basic and comprehensive researches on economic, political and social issues affecting developing countries and regions. In the years since then, the Institute has conducted surveys and researches on all developing countries and regions—including Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, Oceania, and Eastern Europe—mainly through field surveys and empirical studies.

Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO)

JETRO, or the Japan External Trade Organization, is a government-related organization that works to promote mutual trade and investment between Japan and the rest of the world. Originally established in 1958 to promote Japanese exports abroad, JETRO's core focus in the 21st century has shifted toward promoting foreign direct investment into Japan and helping small to medium size Japanese firms maximize their global export potential.
